Since 2009, San Diego Humane Society’s Kitten Nursery staff and volunteers have taken in thousands of fragile kittens and put them on the path to adoption. It’s the country’s first facility to care for neonate kittens 24/7, and it recently took in its 10,000th little guest.

Without this nursery, its donors, and its caregivers’ round-the-clock efforts, many of these young kittens would be needlessly euthanized.
