Taking your dog south of the border?
You’ll need to have proof of a current rabies vaccination to get your four-legged friend back into the United States.
If your dog was just vaccinated for the first time, he’ll have to wait 30 days before crossing the border. Also, traveling into the U.S. with pups four months and younger is off-limits.
Note that these rules apply to all dogs, even service dogs.
FUN FACT: Some dogs’ paws smell like corn chips.
