fetchlightparty2015_sandiegodogLITTLE ITALY, SAN DIEGO, October 25, 2015 – Fetchlight Pet Lifestyle Photography will be celebrating its third anniversary with a party that includes a raffle fundraiser for a local dog rescue, Aussie Rescue San Diego & Friends.  The party will be in Little Italy on the dog-friendly back deck at Landini’s Pizzeria, 1827 India Street, on Saturday, November 14, from 3-6pm.

“Aussie Rescue is where I adopted my dog, Tawny [see promo photo]. I try to give back to this rescue by organizing a raffle for my yearly party, donating my time photographing adoptable dogs, and any other way I can think of to help this great organization,” says Jen Bergren, owner and photographer of Fetchlight.

Aussie Rescue San Diego & Friends has been a 501c3 non-profit for more than six years, and now re-homes over 200 Australian Shepherds, Aussie mixes, and other dogs every year. “We rely on donations and fundraisers such as this, in order to save more dogs and find them the best homes possible,” says Geri Dimeglio, director of Aussie Rescue.

The fundraising goal for this year’s Fetchlight party is $500. Some of the raffle prizes include a pizza party for ten people donated by Landini’s Pizzeria, a prize donation from Five Paw Dog Treats (who will be at the party with a dog treat sample bar), over $500 in gift certificates from Fetchlight, many prizes from local pet businesses, as well as non-dog-related prizes from the Little Italy neighborhood and other local businesses. Raffle tickets will be priced at two tickets for $5 and five tickets for $10. Email info@fetchlight.com if your business is interested in donating a prize to the raffle benefiting Aussie Rescue, the deadline to donate is November 7.

“For six years and counting, Landini’s Pizzeria has been proud to support many local charitable organizations by hosting events, providing thousands of pizzas, and donating to auctions and raffles, including our monthly ‘Doggies on the Deck’ yappy hours,” says Christine Landini. Attendance at past years’ Fetchlight anniversaries has been 60-70 people, when the party was during Landini’s monthly first Tuesday yappy hour. This year’s party is on a Saturday and is conveniently timed between the Little Italy farmers’ market ending and the beginning of the dinner crowd for the popular Little Italy restaurant scene.
