San Diego House Rabbit Society celebrates its 20th anniversary in Balboa Park, with its annual Bunnyfest - September 16

This family friendly festival is coming to Balboa Park on Sunday, September 16, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Bring your bunnies and enjoy a fun-filled day of bunny games, craft vendors, a gourmet food truck, rabbit vets, a silent auction and much more! Enter your rabbit in the “bunny bowling” contest. The event is free, open to the public, and will be on the corner of Park Blvd., & Presidents Way in Balboa Park. San Diego House Rabbit Society is an all-volunteer, nonprofit animal welfare organization that rescues abandoned domestic rabbits and works to find them new homes.  SDHRS supports local shelters and humane societies by helping to care for their rabbits, providing spay/neuter services, and promoting them to the public.  The Society educates the public through in-house rabbit care classes, an extensive website, and attending community events were volunteers share information on rabbit care and adoption. Throughout 2012 SDHRS is celebrating its 20th Anniversary of caring for rabbits and the people who love them.
