Sue Wagenveld and her family fostered 21 kittens from a dozen litters in 2017.
“We have so much fun and we get so attached to the kittens,” she says. “It’s really hard to give them back, but often we get another litter right away.”
Her 14-year-old daughter, whom she calls a “pet whisperer,” is great at bottle feeding the tiniest kitties.
“It’s been a really fun experience to foster the kittens together, and we just fall in love with them every time.”
Her family ended up keeping one of the kittens, Shiloh, who now helps look out for the new arrivals.
