Borias is a charismatic German Shepherd dog, who Tamandra Michaels trained herself from a young puppy. Tamandra was born with Spina Bifida, and uses a wheelchair to navigate San Diego, with Borias as her co-pilot. In their ten years together, they have shared many adventures, from going to concerts, Broadway shows, meeting celebrities (even a former President!) to riding on a gurney and keeping vigil while his partner battled a life-threatening kidney infection in the hospital. Borias has been in the news, lending his loud voice in political rallies for equal rights, to just showing his love of pulling his partner in her wheelchair, making her feel free. Through thick and thin, he is always by her side. Their bond so deep, It's as if they are the same soul. He is her partner, 'heart dog', and soul mate...her hero.
