“National Adopt-a-Cat Month falls right in the heart of kitten season. Spring and Summer months are the high season for breeding, so we see hundreds of neonatal kittens each year that need the around-the-clock care provided by our Paws Kitten Nursery,” said Dr. Gary Weitzman, president and CEO of the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA. “Every animal that’s adopted makes space for another animal that’s in need of care, so our goal is to help all animals find a home as quickly as possible.”
