LUV SURF San Diego RIDES A NEW WAVE INTO MISSION BEACH
01:56 PM, Monday, July 23
Known for their luxury pet-friendly beach rentals, LUV SURF San Diego, expands its lifestyle brand to include a new retail location in North Mission Beach, CA. The retail space will be the go-to destination for stylish, colourful and functional beach-chic women’s clothing, gifts, accessories, as well as pet accessories.  LUV SURF San Diego caters to a clientele who want to pamper themselves and their pets with the San Diego beach experience.

Owner Gina Champion-Cain and her team set out to create an entirely new retail concept that brings together the booming pet and surf retail markets. The LUV SURF customer dresses with style and function - she goes to yoga, rides her bike on the boardwalk, plays on the beach with her dog, embraces her pets as true members of the family and takes pride in being part of the San Diego beach community.

The LUV SURF San Diego line offers unique beachwear items, beach accessories, custom pet accessories and gifts that are reflective of the eclectic San Diego beach communities and fit for the fashionable active women who want to feel beautiful and comfortable. Some of the available apparel items are tees, tanks, thermals, pullovers, sweatshirts, workout pants, hats and beanies.  The beach accessories will include towels, totes, beach toys, blankets and chairs.

Pet items will include exclusive leash and collar sets, bowls, tags, bandanas, beds, mats and pet clothing. Additionally, specially branded pet accessories and gifts including monogrammed sweaters, personalized food and water bowls, digitized collar tags and hand-made treats will be available and make the perfect gift for any pet lover.

The LUV SURF San Diego retail brand was born out of the LUV SURF San Diego pet-friendly beach rental business, which provides a luxurious home-away-from-home Mission Beach and Bay experience.   LUV SURF San Diego guests embrace the beach, surf, sun and their pets; these guests were looking for other ways to express this lifestyle. Because of this demand, it seemed like a natural progression to expand LUV SURF San Diego into a retail brand that reflects this culture. Despite the laid back nature of the beach lifestyle, LUV SURF San Diego customers demand high quality goods and services.

“My passion to create the LUV SURF San Diego brand was driven by my love for family, pets, the beach and the beautiful city of San Diego. It had been a dream of mine to create a boutique vacation rental that allures guests to enjoy an endless summer experience in the lap of luxury, flanked by their furry friends. As the rental business grew, we saw an opportunity to expand into a lifestyle brand that promotes San Diego, surf, sand and sun,” stated Gina Champion-Cain.

Located on Mission Blvd. and San Jose (3816 Mission Blvd. San Diego, CA  92109), the store decor is a collaboration between local San Diego design team Beatriz Arrues and David Michael. Nautical and whimsical touches such as floating shelves and hammocks compliment the bright and beachy feel of the clothing.

A portion of proceeds from LUV SURF San Diego’s retail line will be donated to San Diego Humane Society and SPCA.
